Frequently Asked Questions

How many rooms does the property have:
The Turtle Inn Beach Club has a total of 39 rooms.  Those consist of the following:
  • 2 - Two bedroom units and both are handicap accessible.  (Our only handicap accessible rooms).
  • 3 - One bedroom units with a king size bed
  • 19 - One bedroom units with a queen size bed
  • 12 - Deluxe Studio units
  • 3 - Standard Studio Units

What to expect in my room?
The property is a Timeshare facility.  This is NOT a hotel type of room or a Studio Suite room that hotels often offer.  These are FULLY furnished and fully equipped small apartment type of rooms.  The actual furnishings of the rooms vary slightly depending on the type of room you are in.  For more information on each type of room, read below.
 
ALL room types include:
  • A living room with a sleeper sofa, recliner, television and a cabinet the television sits on.
  • A full bathroom with a tub/shower combo, a standard toilet and a vanity with a cabinet underneath.
  • A complete kitchen with a single bowl sink, full size refrigerator, a full size microwave, an apartment size stove with oven and an apartment size dishwasher.  Each kitchen is fully equipped with the basic needs which include dishes, flatware, can opener, pots and pan, utensils, knife set, coffee pot, toaster and dish drainer. 
 
Two Bedroom Units (101 & 102) that accommodate up to eight people:  In addition to the items listed above, these rooms have:
  • A roll away bed in the living room.
  • A dining area with a table with chairs for six guests.
  • Two bedrooms with a queen size bed, a dresser and one or two night stands.
  • Two bathrooms.  One is a full bathroom as described above.  The second one is a handicap bathroom with a roll in shower, a handicap toilet and a vanity with no cabinet underneath.
  • Two balconies 

One Bedroom Units that accommodate up to six people:  In addition to the items listed above, these rooms have:
  • A roll away bed in the living room.
  • A dining area with a table with chairs for six guests.
  • One bedrooms with a queen size bed, a dresser and one or two night stands.
  • Rooms 202, 302 and 402 have a much larger bedroom with a king size bed.
  • Depending on the type of room, it has either one balcony with two full bathrooms or two balconies with a bath and a half.
  • The full bathroom is as described above.
  • The half bathroom has a standard toilet and a vanity with a cabinet underneath. 

Standard Studio Units will accommodate up to four people:  These studio units have the sleeping, living and dining room areas all in one room.  In addition to the items listed above, the combined area in these rooms has:
  • A queen size bed
  • A dresser and one night stand
  • A sleeper sofa, recliner, television, a cabinet the television sits on
  • A table with chairs for four guests
  • A balcony 

Deluxe Studio Units will accommodate up to four people:  In addition to the items listed above, these rooms have:
  • A dining area with a small bar and chairs for four guests.
  • A separate sleeping area (separated by French doors) with a queen size bed, a dresser and one or two night stands.
  • Rooms 210, 211, 310, 311, 410 and 411 have an ocean view and room to sit on the walkway in front of the room.
  • Rooms 208, 209, 308, 309, 408 and 409 have a street view and no room to sit outside of your room.
What is included in the rooms?
All rooms have fully furnished kitchens which include your basic needs such as dishes, flatware, can opener, pots and pan, utensils, knife set, coffee pot, toaster and dish drainer.

Other items such as blenders, cookie sheets, crock pots, irons, ironing boards, larger pots, etc. are available for check out from the housekeeping department.

All linens are provided which include bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, bath mat, dish towel, dish cloth, sheets and pool towels.

Upon check in you will have bars of soap at each vanity and tub/shower, toilet paper for each toilet, coffee filters, dishwashing liquid, dishwasher tablets, scouring pad and a roll of paper towels.
Are there irons and ironing boards in the rooms?
Irons and ironing boards are not provided in the rooms; however they are available for check out from the housekeeping department.
Are there hairdryers in the rooms?
Hairdryers are not provided in the rooms however; they are available for check out from the housekeeping department.
Are soap, shampoo and conditioner provided in the rooms?
Soap is provided at each tub/shower and vanity.  There is no shampoo and conditioner provided.  You will need to bring you own shampoo and conditioner.
Is dishwashing liquid and dishwasher detergent provided in the rooms?
There is a small amount of each provided in the kitchens.
Is there coffee or prepackaged coffee packets provided in the rooms?
There is no coffee provided in your room.  You will need to bring your own.  We do offer complimentary coffee in the meeting room during office hours.  Please check with the front desk for assistance.
 
Are there coffee filters in the rooms?
Several coffee filters provided in your room when you check in.
Are there paper towels in the kitchens?
There is a roll of paper towels provided in your room when you check in.
 
Is there Wi-Fi in the rooms?
Yes.  And complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.  The password is provided on your welcome papers at check in.

 
Is smoking permitted in the rooms and/or on the property?
All rooms are non-smoking.
Smoking is permitted anywhere on the property as long as it is outdoors, including the balcony to your room.
Please be respectful of our guests that do not smoke, have allergies to smoke and/or do not want to be exposed to secondhand smoke.
Is cannabis use permitted in the rooms and/or on the property?
Use of cannabis is permitted as per Florida law.
Smoking cannabis follows the same rules as cigarette smoking.
Cannabis smoking is permitted anywhere on the property as long as it is outdoors, including the balcony to your room.
Please be respectful of our guests that do not smoke, have allergies to smoke and/or do not want to be exposed to secondhand smoke.

Use of other forms of cannabis is permitted throughout the property as per Florida law.
Are there grills available for use by guests?
Yes, there are two grills for guest use in the gazebo.
Use of the grills is free for guests staying on the property.
Utensils for the grills are hanging in the gazebo near the grills.
The gas shut off valve for each grill is located on the floor by the grill.
Please clean the grill and surrounding area when you finish your grilling.
Does the property have a pool?
Yes, there is an oceanfront pool that is heated in the cooler weather.
The pool hours are from 8:00 AM to dusk.
No glass of any type is permitted in the pool and hot tub deck areas.
Pool rules are posted at the pool - please abide by these rules at all times.
There is no lifeguard and guests swim at their own risk.
Does the property have a hot tub?
Yes, there is an oceanfront hot tub.
The hot tub hours are from 8:00 AM to dusk.
Children under 14 are not permitted in the hot tub. 
     This is for their own safety due to the temperature of the water. 
     Exposure to the hot water can cause organ and other damage to small children.

No glass of any type is permitted in the pool and hot tub deck areas.
Hot tub rules are posted at the hot tub - please abide by these rules at all times.
There is no lifeguard - guests use the hot tub at their own risk.
Is there beach access from the property?
Yes, we have steps from the pool deck down to the beach.
Is there beach/pool/hot tub/gazebo access for disabled guests?
Yes.  There is a handicap ramp that provides access to both the pool deck and the hot tub deck.
We have a chair lift to assist with entry and exit of the pool.  The key is available in the office.
There is a public walkway that adjoins our property and provides handicap access to the beach.
     At the present time the public access is closed but is set to open in the fall of 2024.
Is there free parking on site?
Yes, free parking is available on site but is limited to one parking space per room.
You can park a car, truck, van, motorcycle, etc. in the one spot per room.
You must display the valid parking pass issued to you at check in.
Parking passes are checked multiple times throughout the day and night.
Towing is enforced at owners' expense for any vehicle on our lot without a valid parking pass.
The Turtle Inn is not responsible for any damage, theft of property or any other issues related to parking in our lot.
For a fee, surrounding businesses will allow our guests to park on their lot.  Please talk to the office for details.
How many people are permitted to sleep in each room?
When we state the occupancy rate it is stated as UP TO.
Keep in mind that roll away beds may not comfortably accommodate two large adults.

Studio units will accommodate up to four guests.
One bedroom units will accommodate up to six guests.
Two bedroom units will accommodate up to eight guests.

Exceeding these numbers is a violation of the fire code.
Violators may be requested to vacate the property.
What if something in the room gets damaged while I am there?
If someone in your party damages any Turtle Inn property, the owner of the room will be charged for such
damage.  If you rent through the office your credit card will be billed for damages.

This includes damage to the room, the common areas (pool, hot tub, gazebo, etc.), misuse of linens causing
soils, stains and any other situations that would cost The Turtle Inn to replace or repair.
 
Are pets permitted?
Pets are not permitted at the property.
As required by law, service animals are permitted.
  • Please note:  if the service animal causes damage to the room or extra cleaning to the room is required because of the service animal, you will be charged those amounts as permitted under the law.
Are there property rules that guests must follow?
Property rules are handed out at check in.  In addition to these, all quests are expected to behave in a civil manner.  Everyone should be respectful of all guests on vacation and wanting to have a “good time”.  That term “good time” means different things to different guests.  Please be mindful that everyone may not appreciate your music, choice of language, loud or disruptive behavior, etc.
Failure to follow the rules could result in being asked to leave the property.
 
Is there a restaurant at the property?
There is no restaurant on site.  There are several nice restaurants within walking distance.
Does the property have a breakfast for guests?
The property does not offer any type of breakfast.  There a several nice restaurants within walking distance.  We do offer complimentary coffee in the meeting room during office hours.  Please check with the front desk for assistance.
 
Are there any special events for guests while staying at the property?
We have “Hot Dog Tuesday“ at noon every Tuesday, weather permitting.
Please note:
  • The day of the week may change because of inclement weather.
  • The event lasts until the hot dogs are gone.  Usually around 12:20 to 12:30.
  • We provide free hot dogs, condiments, chips and drinks.
  • Some attending will occasionally bring other cook out type foods to share.

We also have “Patty's Popsicles” during the warmer months. 
  • Our head housekeeper, Patty, makes surprise visits handing out popsicles to those on the deck areas.
  • There is no set day; it is dependent on the weather, temperature and other factors determined by Patty!
Are there any types of games, beach equipment, etc. for guests to use while they are staying at the property?
Yes, you can check out the following items in the office:
  • Corn Hole
  • Bocce Ball
  • Volleyball (the net should be set up on the beach in front of the property)

In the meeting room you will find several things available or loan.  Those include:
  • Books for reading and/or trading.
  • Puzzles for your use – solve, take, trade, etc.
  • Games for loan.
  • Scan the selection, pick a book, puzzle or game to use.
  • When you finish, please return it for others to use.
  • If you have some you want to leave and add to the collection, feel free.
  • We do NOT keep an inventory of these items; they are available for guests to use as they desire.

At the pool area and in the corral on the hot tub deck you might find the following items left by previous guests:
  • Beach toys
  • Pool toys
  • Pool noodles
  • Beach chairs
  • Beach umbrellas


Feel free to use any of these items as you desire.
 

Please return all items to the place you found them.

Do you have items for babies and toddlers available?
We do have a pack and play available.  Please check with the office.
We do not have car seats, highchairs, booster seats or other baby items available.
 
Do you have devices available for handicapped guests such as walkers, wheel chairs, etc.?
We do not have these items available.  You should be able to find some local company that will rent them to you for the time you are staying at The Turtle Inn.
 
What are the office hours?
The office hours are:
Sunday – Thursday   9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Friday & Saturday     9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
 
What if I am arriving after the office closes?
Please refer to your reservation confirmation letter for instructions on how to access our lock box to retrieve your room key.  You will need to go to office the next morning to complete the necessary paperwork and ensure your account is accurate.
Do you provide daily maid service to clean the room?
No daily maid service is provided.  We do offer a mid week cleaning but you must request that when you check in.  It is only provided upon request.
Are there items in the room for guests to do light cleaning while they are there?
Yes, the rooms have a broom and dust pan provided.  If you need a vacuum cleaner or any other cleaning items you can request to borrow those from the housekeeping department.
 
Does the property have night time security?
The property does not have regular night time security.
Staff may return to the resort and walk the property at various times after the office closes to be sure there are not problems and to check parking passes.
